Step into history and mystery at The Skirrid Inn, one of Britain’s oldest and most haunted inns. Nestled in the shadow of the Skirrid Mountain, this ancient building dates back over 900 years, its walls steeped in legend, tragedy, and tales of the supernatural.

Once used as a courthouse, the Skirrid Inn witnessed the sentencing and execution of criminals — with more than 180 people said to have been hanged from the original oak beam that still stands above the staircase today. Locals and visitors alike have reported chilling phenomena: the rustle of unseen robes, ghostly footsteps across creaking floors, sudden drops in temperature, and the overwhelming feeling of being watched. Are you brave enough to uncover the secrets that linger in the dark?
